The Secret

Today went watched The Bedtime Stories with fren... the movie was kinda fun, but a bit lame haha
but i appreciate the director in trying to convert "the secret" into this movie...

The girl in the movie was HOT !!! XD

In the movie, Skeeter (Adam Sandler) tells a bedtime story to his nephews and it comes true.

I kinda link the story behind this movie to "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. The Secret is actually a film which consists of a series of interviews related to "law of attraction".

What is Law of Attraction? our Universe is governed by law, we have law of gravity, we cant jump off from 10th floor and fly like superman, we are governed by the universal law...

According to Law of Attraction, our thoughts have waves, energies or frequency. What we think, we'll attract it...what's going on in your mind, you are attracting it into ur life...

Many of us will always think what we dont want, the universe cannot differentiate "want/dun want" , therefore, if u keep on thinking of what u dont want, u keep attracting what u dont want into ur life..

THis can link to positive thinking, we need to think positively so that we can attract what we wanted into our life...

i recommended this book to my sis, den she went to bookstore and look for this book..
she cant find the book, but there was a worker in the bookshop came to her and ask " Miss, are you looking for a book called The Secret?" ... my sis was like... "how u know ah?" haha

jiang jiang, this was her first experience of the law of attraction before she even read the book. She keep on thinking of this book in her mind and subsequently she attracted it XD
interesting hor? XD

However, i personally think that.... if wanna achieve something, i gonna take action... cant just think and think and think, like a dreamer haha

so instead, i will think positively and take action... tats it....

so yea... lets "think" to pass acca exams and start studying nw... XD

power of paradigm

actually what is "paradigm"?
according to dictionary.com
paradigm = 'an example serving as a model; pattern.'

In other words, paradigm refers to our perception.
Some people think that their perception, their views, their opinions are always right and eventually refused to see things from different angle. These type of people are stubborn...

However, are our perception always correct? Lets look at the pic below:

Can u tell that the picture above is a picture of a old woman? or a young lady??
This small test was in fact conducted by Harvard Business School.
Many students argued that the picture above was a picture of an old woman, however, there are another group of students argued that it was a picture of a young lady.

Students tend to describe the picture to prove that it was a picture of an old woman/young lady.
I personally think that it was a picture of a young lady XD
but then there is no real answer whether it was a picture of an old woman or young lady...

If u wanna find out the real answer, den have to ask the fellow who draw this picture...
hmm this shows that each of us have different views, different opinions and different conclusions.

Each religious in the world has its own image of god, they may say: "this is my god, urs one bullshit"...den people start criticizing....

How many of us can really see things from different angle?
People criticize because they have different views and opinions on certain matters, if u are stubborn, den u feel annoyed(im one of them) V(^.^)V ...
well how many of us can do that? LoL
hmmm....
let us be more open minded and try to see things from different angle, dun be stubborn, be flexible....

Unlimited Power

Unlimited Power is one of the best selling self-help book written by Anthony Robbins.

He is 201cm tall... i mean damn tall!! He has been regarded as The Solution Man during his school day because he read almost all self help books during that time and solve problems among his frens.

In Unlimited Power, he emphasizes Emotion and Neuro-Linguistic Programming as a power tool to change ur life.
We all have emotions, right? Love? Depression? Sad? Happy? the list goes on and on ~~~~
We all create emotions, to develop the feeling of 'depressed', it helps when u collapse ur shoulder, lower ur speaking tone and picture any sad past incidents in ur mind. Therefore, this book teaches u a technique to change ur current emotion in order to achieve ur desired outcome.

There are 3 ways to change ur emotions:

  • Physiology (body movements/postures)
  • Pattern of Language
  • What u focus on.
Physiology is the most powerful and effective way to change ur emotions. as i mentioned above, u can immediately feel depressed if u collapse ur shoulder, keep ur head down etc... therefore, u can change ur emotions immediately by adopting ur physiology.

Pattern of Language.. is concerned with the way u use ur language to communicate to urself or to other people. Imagin u wanna say "i love you" to ur gf, it wudn't help if u lower ur tone and in a lazy way.... " iiiii loveeee u" .... the other way is... u say it firmly and with certain facial expression... "I LOVE YOU"!! u can see the difference..

Lastly, what u currently focus on will determine ur emotions. if u focus on bad sides, u feel bad. therefore, to feel good, focus on something that motivates u or helps u to feel good.

These are the 3 ways that can change ur emotions. While NLP is concerned with programming ur mind. Our brain is like a Windows, it follows a syntax, while of coz, our brain is more complicated.... Anthony Robbins uses NLP to overcome a lady's life time phobia towards snakes in about 15 mins !! bugger damn powerful!!

while i cant describe how to use NLP.. coz its damn complicated...so u can buy his book and read it urself...XD

ofcoz Robbins' techniques, theories, and business practices have been the subject of criticism. so yea.. whether he can helps u or not depends urself, whether his techniques suit u or not..

Nw is the age of Information, we all starving for wisdom, we can access to many information, from bookstores, internet, google, wiki, etc.... to know is not enuf,, we must apply >.<

Repetition is mother of all skill

investing

im always interested in stock market. I hate working for people.. i hate being controlled by other people... thats y in future im gonna involve in stock market.. i let money generate more money for me.

Warren BUffet... the greatest investor in the world, currently he is the richest man in the world, overtook Bill Gates. What makes Warren Buffet today? According to Warren himself, Benjamin Graham who maked today's Buffet.

I admire Warren BUffet so much that eventually i dun miss any of his publications. Well he seldom write, but i read all books relating to Warren Buffet.

I myself think that Warren is good because he has a set of stretegy when comes to investment in stock market. If i can duplicate his strategy and belief system, i think i can do that too!!

I always believed in myself that im special!! There is a giant inside me that waiting to be awaken!
but somehow due to daily routines, cock-talking haha... yeah... im still nobody and look dumb to people.

I do read alot, but understanding seems hard to me. I can memorize well, but when come to practical, i sucks. perhaps i have low IQ or due to my slow functioning brain. but i believe that not all human are born smart except for some extraordinary mankind. so tats y i have to be more hardworking to compensate it.

i wanted to become an investor in future, when i got money i gonna invest it in potential stock and wait for my capital gain..but looks like its not easy....so what a real investor should do?

according to Benjamin Graham, first we gonna differentiate what is investment, what is speculation and what is gambling. (investment V speculation V gambling)

i wanna become an investor instead of a speculator or gambler..
according to Ben. Graham, investment involves proper analysis of stock which promises safety of principal and an adequate return.

Speculation is like putting money in a stock and hope that the stock price will increase, without doing any proper analysis on the comp's performance, future trends and etc.

Gambling is like putting money in a stock, if price increase i gain, price drop = die.

i do like investment alot... but i usually did badly in my investment paper, perhaps i too underestimate what investment really is...

this is my first ever blog.... im in part3 of acca ady, exams style totally different from part2 papers, part 3 requires more writing and understanding.... so i hope i can improve my writing by blogging...XD
